About Us

The innovation behind the PoogoStick was born in the backyard of brothers Jordan, Jason and Josh Buhagiar while growing up in their small Sonoma County, California hometown. Tasked with cleaning up the family’s lawn after their beloved dog Mookie, a 180-pound Newfoundland, the brothers realized there had to be a better way to get the job done.

To solve the all-too-common problems of smearing the poop into the grass or it getting stuck in a messy scooper, the brothers along with their father John thought up the concept for what would become the patented prong and push plate design of the PoogoStick.

A few years later, Jordan met his wife Jenna and they adopted two cats. As Jordan developed prototypes for the PoogoStick in his garage in West Sacramento, California, he realized the litter box was yet another unsolved problem for pet waste. Jordan ensured the PoogoStick was designed to work just as efficiently on cat waste in the litter box; a first-of-its-kind pet waste solution.

Today, the brothers are proud to bring the patented PoogoStick to dog and cat owners everywhere.
